At Tutu Teddies, classes are open! This means that parents and carers are encouraged to watch, support and join in. You don’t need to have any dance experience, you just need to be ready to have a fabulous time with your little ballerina!

Classes are approximately 30/45 minutes long and cost £3.00/£4.50 per session.

 TEENY TEDDIES

6 months – 18 months (maximum number of teddies – 12)
Teeny Teddies is a special class for babies aged 6 – 18 months where mummy, daddy, grandparent or any other special grown-up actively participates. Babies learn through watching, listening, playing and moving. They also learn through imitation and interaction with a grown-up loved one.

The Teeny Teddies programme enables babies and parents to share dance, music and rhythms through an assortment of musical instruments and stimulating props, such as dance ribbons, bubble machines and light shows.

Classes are approximately 30 minutes long and cost £3.00 per session.

TINY TEDDIES

18 months – 2½years (maximum number of teddies – 12)
Tiny Teddies are on the move: jumping, wiggling, singing and laughing. Even though the emphasis is on having fun, there is lots of learning going on! Songs, stories and role-play are important elements in these classes, developing language and number skills, confidence and self-expression.

Parents participate with their child.

Classes are approximately 30 minutes long and cost £3.00 per session.

TIPTOE TEDDIES

2½ years – 4 years (maximum number of teddies – 15)
Tiptoe Teddies is a wonderful introduction to the world of ballet. Lessons introduce little ballerinas to basic ballet steps, whilst engaging them in magical themed learning, whether it be exploring the deep blue sea or flitting through the air like a sugar plum fairy.

We also feature an introduction to tap dancing within the lesson.

Parental participation is encouraged but not essential.

Classes are approximately 45 minutes long and cost £4.50 per session.

TWINKLE TEDDIES

4 years – 5 years (maximum number of teddies – 15)
Twinkle Teddies lessons focus on developing basic ballet techniques but are complimented by exciting, imaginative activities that keep our little ballerinas captivated and engaged. Puppets, hoops, dance scarves and magic wands all form an integral part of the fun!

We also feature a tap dancing section within the lesson.

Twinkle Teddies attend classes without a parent, although parents are welcome to wait in the waiting room (and have a coffee).

Classes are approximately 45 minutes long and cost £4.50 per session.

TALENTED TEDDIES

5 years – 7 years (maximum number of teddies – 15)
The Talented Teddies curriculum allows our budding ballerinas the opportunity to develop their ballet, without the pressure of examinations. Striking a balance between structure and fun, Talented Teddies use the correct French ballet terminology, whilst dancing like butterflies and prancing like princesses. Talented Teddies develops your ballerina’s skills so that they are ready to graduate to a disciplined study of ballet at 8 years of age. Talented Teddies attend classes without a parent, although parents are welcome to wait in the waiting room (and have a coffee).

We also feature a tap dancing section within the lesson.

Classes are approximately 45 minutes long and cost £4.50 per session.

YOUR FIRST CLASS IS FREE!

Tutu Teddies should wear comfortable clothing that they can move freely in. If they do not have ballet shoes then they should have bare (bear) feet to avoid slipping.
